Bremont are saddened to announce that a display watch was stolen last night, 17th December, from Leander Club in Henley on Thames.

The watch was on show to represent a unique limited edition (99 only) watch which Henley on Thames based watch company Bremont built for the prestigious Leander Club to commemorate outstanding tally of 99 Olympic medals the Club's athletes had won since the 1908 Olympic Games at Henley on Thames until the London 2012 Games earlier this year. This watch, which is based on Bremont's ALT1-C model, has a stroke-rate counter and the Leander Hippo logo on the dial, the RRP is £3945.

This display watch was housed in a locked Bremont cabinet and has been on show at the Club for the last couple of months, at around 7.30pm last night staff noticed that the watch was missing and the cabinet had been forced open. Thames Valley Police are now investigating the incident and have taken statements.

The case back of this watch was blank however the unique movement number is visible through the exhibition case back, the number is 11394, the watch was on a blue leather strap. We believe this piece will be extremely difficult to move on or resell due to its rarity and uniqueness and we urge people to keep a look out for this watch.
