Job interview

I went for an interview today at a major airline and the First Officer interviewer immediately saw my Globemaster on my wrist. He had a nice Rolex Submariner himself, but said the job was mine if I gave him my watch. Tempting...but no. (I got the job anyway!)

I won't find out what I'll fly until I get to training at the beginning of February. In all likelihood, the A320 (possibly the 737). Until then, I've been volunteering at my kids' high school using a program we call "skillbridge" for USAF retirement transition. I got offers from all four majors...they must REALLY be desperate! (Delta, United, American, and Southwest) I have my preferences...but until I make it official I won't announce it on a public forum. Therefore...more to follow!

Best of luck. I find the American way of 'doing' airlines fascinating compared to Europe/UK - like a different world! I look forward to hearing more in due course, Tex!
