Bremont Supermarine SM500 on vintage strap

The Bremont vintage strap looks superb on a number of Bremont watches, and this SM500 included looks great (in my opinion).

The strap I have is nearly 3 months old and has been worn fairly consistently on both this and the BC-S2 Green. When I got the strap it was quite stiff and uncomfortable but after a few days it wears in nicely, after a few weeks softens more and after a few months starts to develop a lovely colour.

Here's some snaps of the vintage strap on the SM and some shots of the SM just because it's a fab looking Bremont!

    Many thanks for viewing!

    Gorgeous photos.
I was originally going to purchase a black ALT1-P (or possibly Z). But after seeing the vintage strap on a Silver faced ALT-C, I just fell in love with it.
I found the vintage strap on a black dial.... just didn't quite work for me.
HOWEVER, after seeing your photos I'm having second thoughts !!... oh dear.

I've still got the option on a Black C... so maybe I'll re-consider.

If you haven't seen the vintage on a silver dial... it's worth checking out.

How did you get the vintage strap looking that worn? The creases and shine makes it look very nice! My vintage isn't very ply-able so I imagine difficult to get it looking like that?

Get it wet, it begin to darken and crease.

Thought they wernt meant to get wet...? Or you mean a little rain?
I probably shouldn't as mine has started to crack on the edges and water getting inside could be a bad idea

You can certainly get it wet, it will just darken it and cause creases to form, which is what you are going for.

Ahh cool! But it's not fully submergable right?

Did you polish it at all?
