Mixed Emotions - Goodbye Bremont Victory

Mixed because I have to say goodbye to one of my favourite watches in order to welcome what will be a worthy replacement.

People the time has come to part with my safe queen - the Victory. Frankly it wasn't getting any wear, which is in itself a crime, but funds are required to acquire the 1918.

Why is it we can't have as many watches as we want? Anyone else out there having to make room in the watch box?

Michael, sorry to hear the Victory has gone! If you don't mind me asking, how much did you get for it? Feel free to PM if you like - just helps build a picture for those looking at buying or selling!

Which 1918 are you going for?

Hasn't gone yet J. Just the decision has been made, and by making it public there's no going back. I'll put her on the sales forum next week probably. She's mint so price wise I'm thinking 14k. I saw watchfinder sold one earlier in the year for 16k which I think is too high and this is private v commercial.

1918 - for me it's the blue dial / white gold.

P.S. there was talk of a London get together in December - do you think it will get off the ground?

Was there? By me or someone else?

If it was me, I've forgot. If you'd like one, though, I can see what I can do?

Back in March there was a brief exchange about a meet up at the London boutique- pretty informal - I've found the original post and replied to it which should bump it up

Well, it never rains but it pours. At any other time, I'd be buying one of three Victory watches in SS which are on this forum. Bremont had to release the 1918 and thwart my plans. I can't tell you the number of times recently that I've run the numbers for both. I remain of the view that I can, I'm just not seeing clearly!!

    Best,
    Argo

Sad to hear of your loss but happy to hear of your gain!!

Seriously, another Victory, a P51 and an EP120 all for sale on here. Get a Codebreaker on here and I could throw all in and get all the ones I want!!
    And maybe a DH88 too!!

It does make you realise how many great watches Bremont have made over the years.

Handling that EP120 Chippy - the first for a number of years, and in such mint condition - just makes me wish I had jumped in and got one back in 2008!
