Fokker Clock

Hello All,

I am hoping someone out there can tell me what I have it the photos below.

I purchased the clock on eBay without ever asking myself if the movement is an original or not. I paid $1500 which is expensive but I got caught up in the bidding war and had to win it.

Everything works fine and when I can remember to wind it, the clock keeps pretty good time.

There is a hand written note on the base explaining the origins which seem logical given the aircraft type as the period.

What I am wondering is if anyone has ever seen one before and did I unearth a piece of aviation history or have I been had.

So I found out the movement is from an alarm clock JLC mass produced so I decided to change the look of the clock as I found it tired looking. I know I have committed the ultimate sin but I like the results.
