A bit corny perhaps, but my suggestion was "Trafalgar Two-stitch"

    'Bromwich.'

After Castle Bromwich, the famous Supermarine factory. Incidentally, now on the same spot sits Jaguar/Land Rover - appropriate!

I like the earlier suggestion of Remenham. But that's gone so my suggestion is Chalgrove, not as local as the others but it's still in the vicinity.

It was an RAF base to start with then later became a USAAF base and post war was a test facilty used by Martin Baker.

I am not familiar with the area around Henley on Thames. Did a little googling and "Nuffield" sounds pretty good.

Based on Nuffied Place - Time-capsule home of philanthropist and founder of the British motor car industry William Morris.
    10 minutes’ drive from Henley.

I am your friend but just felt 'Merlin' did not cut the mustard for me! Now 'Griffon' would be a more manly strap for my taste, V-12 power! Thanks for your concern about my wellbeing all good here in Gloucestershire!

    Cheers
    Gavin

It has to be the "Benson". The Oxfordshire village of Benson is only 10 miles from Bremont HQ, and is attached to RAF Benson - an RAF station opened in 1939 that is still operational today. During WWII it was home to several squadrons of Supermarine Spitfires, as well as Wellington bombers and de Havilland Mosquitos.

As the standard strap offered on the Supermarine S301, this is the perfect name!

    Cheers,

    John

To keep it simple, how about the "Henley?" Another option...Nick recommended a pub on our way out of town called the Dog and Badger. The "Badger?"

The strap is a smooth and minimal strip that connects the centre of the watch.

Therefore, it should be named "The Fairmile".
