It is amazing how many leaps away these new aircraft are from the steampunk jet I flew. I had seen that F-35 system but not the video. In the early 1990s I was working with some technology that displayed a head-up display on the helmet visor and pointed missile seekers by moving the head in the direction of the target and that was outstanding. Probably the best thing of the F-35 helmet is the incorporation of night vision technology as opposed to wearing a set of heavy Night Vision Goggles.
