Just bought my first Omega - Speedmaster Apollo 17 - 45th Anniversary. A beautiful watch - but will they come collectable as the numbers manufactured are high? 1972 in this case - the date the last person stepped on the moon.

I have always loved the Moon Watches! I wish I would have bought one instead of the P.O. that I bought! I think they will soar when the last moon walker passes! Just look at what happened to the Daytona when Steve McQueen’s watch sold for $15 million! Cheers Jim

Tricky one. The Speedmaster seems to have a knack of being able to 'become' collectable despite high production runs - I'm thinking the Silver Snoopy (1970pcs) and the Speedy Tuesday (2012pcs). My suspicions are, though, that it's more a supply and demand induced price rise than an actually worth it one. Time will tell, though.

It could well do. As I'm sure you know Jim, the Omega 45th Anniversary is the 'Tribute to Gene Cernan' - the last man on the Moon - who died early last year.

Like Jake says it’s a tricky one. I don’t think it will increase in value like the Snoopy or the ST but would think it will at least hold it’s value if not a slight increase.

Double check your box as there is a typo on some of them. See pic, wording should say man kind but says man king. Omega are sending replacements out and letting customers keep the old box.

Ha, "manking"! I seem to always mistakenly type "g" in place of my "d" and vice versa. Luckily for me I usually get a red squiggly line underneath my typos.

    Speaking of Snoopy...

Really appreciate those views, its what I expected, but reassuring. Also, Chunkythebulldog will check when arrives in the next three days and post up accordingly - thanks.

Regarding the Silver Snoopy, I am not an expert on Omega, I am guessing these have been sold for some while now?

Lovely. I really, really, like that watch - especially the luminous Snoopy!
