Waterproof straps - what to wear?

Now I have got the general straps sorted thanks once again to Steve & Jake

I am looking for a waterproof strap.

Next month, I am going to the Philippines, a place that I thought would never be on my agenda

I am really looking forward to going, as it includes lots of sightseeing, walking, diving and swimming

Naturally, as long as it is back from it's service, there is only one watch in my collection to wear

A watch that is, imo perfect for this kind of adventure my Solo.

    But which strap to choose?

The only waterproof straps that I currently own, are the good old NATO or Zulu strap.

I would get a Seattle strap, as it would be perfect for this kind of use, but personally, I don't think the blue stitching will blend well.

    What would be your choose?

Hi Topcat - for waterproof you should check out the temple island straps and the rubber straps (usually come on the diver watches) from Bremont.

I second the Temple Island, really comfortable, totally waterproof, fit same as the Bremont leather straps including curved lugs.

Thirded(!?) here - I used a TI on my MBII if I ever want it to be a little more 'hardcore' if I'm outdoors or something. A little pricey for a rubber strap, but brilliant quality.

    Thank you for your suggestions.
I have a 6 inch wrist. How well does the TI fit?
It was suggested that the harder piece from the lugs downwards may not be flexible enough on a small wrist?

Bounder, I shall let you know😊

I have just tried on the Terra Nova that is going for 1,300 less than MRSP in Goldsmiths.

It's beautiful watch and the strap is incredibly soft and supple, more to the point it fitted my wrist a treat

Is the TI as supple and soft as the one fitted to the Terra Nova?

I would say not. I find the TI, whilst comfortable, not as fitting as the Supermarine rubber and slightly harder. However, on the Solo, I would say the TI could well be a better look and fit - but that is personal preference!

I like my Supermarine rubber on my solo and my altitude SE, think it looks great. However only the black one fits. For some reason the blue one just doesn't..But then again they arent recommended to be worn with other watches.
