I guess there is only one ADMIN to remove the Spam.

    It is ruining the Forum.

Hi Jerry, both myself and Jeremy can remove the spam. Unfortunately, we've both been busy this week so have been unable to do so - it takes a surprising amount of time per spam user to remove them.

It is ruining the forum, but we've tried everything we can to try and stop it.

Hey Jerry, we tried your suggestion of human verification, but it doesn't appear to be working so well. Thanks for the suggestion though! I wholly agree that it's entirely a nuisance for everyone.

I've added multiple new questions that should rotate and hopefully prevent the spambots from registering and posting. We will see how it works and continue to rotate them if so!

I'm a moderator on another forum. We have implemented a process whereby the first 5 posts from any new member have to be approved by a mod before they are published. The forum software handles it all, and it is easy to spot the spammers and delete the account before any spam appears on the forum.

Richard, do you know what software that particular forum is built on?

It is phpBB 3.0.11, but it is also possible in vBulletin (the software of this forum)...

I agree, Jerry. This is exactly what myself and Jeremy have been looking for.

Jake, these spammers appear to be selling everything but a 737-800 type rating for $10K - if only!!
