It's obviously taken some of its design cues from the WF or similar watches, that's for sure - but to a lesser extent than some brands who copy designs.

That Longines was released in 2003 and was a re-issue. I'd say the WF has more likely taken inspiration from it, along with various other vintage aviation watches which there are numerous models that all look similar.
