It will be interesting, as I don't recall there being more than 2 ever changing hands. I'll be watching intently.

One of those 2 was mine, Although its very limited I don't think it is very sought after so will probably go for very slightly under/over retail.

I took a look and saw the listing for a Supermarine Royal Navy Clearance Diver.
I'm sure my heart started beating faster. Man I love that model.

I think having a 2950 start to bid price would put most off. Afterall you can pick up mint MBii's for under 2500 and I don't believe/understand how a bit of paint can warrant such a price hike. I do however prefer the TWG to the Selfridges variant.

Whilst I can see - and understand - your point, Andy, it is more than a 'bit of paint' IMO.
It is still quite a unique combination of parts and was the first MB to come with the exhibition case back. Yes, it may not be as sort after as some, but it is still a severely limited piece.

I also understand your comments about the price, but as of late I've seen the forum SE pieces changing hands in the mid-3k bracket, so I don't see that it was an unreasonable price being asked! I also prefer it to the MB/SELF, for the record.
