Thread: Red with black is a great strap!

  1. #1

Red with black is a great strap!

It just arrived so I removed the vintage (which is my standard go-to strap) and installed the new black with red stitching. It really brings out the red on the hands (or the hands bring out the stitching...I'm not sure which).

Thanks for the insight and the help in choosing, everyone.

I had the same strap arrive today too, but with blue stitching. It's a really lovely strap!

Yes, it is. You can find it here: Bremont Calf Leather with Red Stitching 22mm

Having seen it on the C-17 (neat that Brize is at the 12 o'clock!) I think this strap would work really well on my SE!!

I use that strap with my codebreaker, you are right with the red mate it does pick it out on the dial nicely.

Unless I'm mistaken, they've modified the straps from the early days, unless mine are just worn in. The leather seems a little stiffer and the loops for the excess strap (no idea what they're called) are significantly stronger. I'm very happy with this one. :-)

You're right, they've improved since the stock straps that came with our original watches! Thicker, better padding, yang holes spaced better. All around, improved!

I'm thinking the strap would look great on my new S2000 (eagerly awaiting it to arrive). It would complement/emphasize the red details on the dial/bezel...yes? It seems a bit expensive ($238) though, or do you actually get what you pay for?
