Both were injured in the line of duty, and embarked on an expedition to the extreme south pole to raise money for injured service men and women.

Just to show an example of how nice match the nubuck strap can be

I really like this strap... the vintage is too thick for my liking. whish they made a slimmer vintage

    Looks good Wamada. Very nice.

I'm a tad disappointed with the leather strap offerings to be honest.
It's definitely not a quality thing, the quality is superb, it's the width.

After wearing my MBII now for the last week or so, with both the black leather and the black/orange NATO, I must say that the NATO makes the watch pop.
The main reason for this in my opinion is that the width of the NATO steps out beyond the width of the lug.
The wider strap makes it look....well...just better.

Leather for formal, NATO for fun.

    What do you guys think?

    Hey Sako,
I'm not a big fan of the NATO for the same reason that you like it

Well there you go, we are all individuals, and we all have different tastes and takes on things.

One other reason that I like the NATO more is fitment.
The casing just doesn't sit real well on my wrist with the leather strap. Mind you I'm in between sizes for the holes in the strap, so it doesn't fit as firm as I like, and it's too tight going to the next hole.

On the strap front in general, I would look to see Bremont (or others) do a version of the leather strap that has the 20mm lug (naturally) that then spreads out beyond the lug to a total width of about 26mm (same as NATO), then taper down slightly. That would be nice and give more presence IMO.

A great strap for the MBII would be the same as the Boeing strap, but with colour coded stiching (orange in my case) and an overall width of about 26mm.
    That would look awesome.

I hope I'm giving some ideas here to the Bremont team???
