Well that spoilt my evening. The Nautilus is grail level for me, one day - when I manage to get one at list…!

    Enjoy them, Chunky.

this isn't supposed to be in any way a negative opinion of the Nautilus but I have one simple response, I just don't get it. They're nice enough looking and while not to my taste they do have a certain charm. That said, if I didn't know what they were I would never take a second look at them. I even did an internet search to try and find out why they command such high prices and why the average person in the street who could afford one will still never have been allowed to buy one from an AD. No valid reason that I can find other than 'hype'.

still, for those who enjoy them for the watch that they are and not the bragging rights, cheers!

I totally agree, they are nice looking watches, but don’t really do anything for me personally.

    Spot on.

I want one purely for the level of watchmaking involved, and realistically they are the pinnacle of that for me within my potential budget - of course people do it better, but the cost of those pieces put them more than ‘firmly’ out of reach.

That said, the brand came to my attention when you COULD walk in and by anything you wanted ‘off the shelf’ - the same with Rolex. How times change…
