Correct - VN-T - ‘Leader’. An interesting little fact is that that aircraft was flown by the Grandfather of the former OC BBMF, Andy Millikin.

She’s at ARCo at the moment for maintenance, and I’m reliably informed that Guy Martin was filming with her recently. Will be interesting to see what was filmed.

Thanks J I'll look into that.

There he is with 50 Squadron rear gunner, James Flowers who I read about in the Lancaster book by John Nichol and who was on some of the same ops as my dad.
    Cheers J

Pleasure - there’s more to the forum than watches it seems!

    oh yes there definitely is.
I'd like to see the De Havilland Mosquito honoured in some way.
Probably the best multi role kite of the war and one that the Gov't turned down.

It’s been mentioned before, that’s for sure.

As you no doubt know too, there is a connection between the ‘Wooden Wonder’ and the ALT1-C - the dial layout is loosely styled on the fuel gauge.

    No, I didn't know that.
I love the film footage that shows a Mossie with one engine shut down, doing a barrel roll.
