A curiosity for the aviation enthusiasts in this forum! I'm wearing a Raketa (rocket) Il-2 watch made by the Petrodvorets Watch Factory in St. Petersburg. The 24hr watch has a mechanical movement and takes it's name from the Ilyushin 2 ground attack aircraft of WW2, simple but very rugged it was produced in large numbers and gave good service on the Eastern Front. I used to see a lot of IL 76's (ил-76) in Afghanistan. Cool watch!

Another Russian effort today! A Bostok Rodina circa 1995, comemorating 50 years since the end of the Great War.
And a sunrise case back:

While I enjoy seeing lovely Bremonts being worn and used, I also like seeing some of the more interesting watches in other peoples collections. This Bostock is particularly interesting, I'll avoid posting a photo of my Lorus!!
This arrived today. First quartz I've bought in a long time... Fantastic spec and very robust. I'll take some better pictures soon...
