^^^ I wouldn't even take my shoes there.
There was a TV advert for Saab cars years ago. A brash, City banker/trader/broker type was driving it and going on about money, money, money and anyone who doesn't have it is a loser, with lots of...
^^^ Thanks Jake, hope all is good with you!
This is my choice for the last couple of days...

^^^ Thanks Jake! I look here most days but find I have less time to post!
Farhad19620 - that's a good looking 'C (and strap) too! It is an aftermarket strap - from "Toshi" - I almost always take...
I've had this 10 years today - the old style logo, Swiss made on the dial and 2.5 minute markers on the sub dial at 3 o'clock. I love this watch.

Thanks - I'll look up Heritageleather straps.
^^^ That's interesting about the bracelets. I've been wondering about getting one for my 'C but they are very expensive new.
For the same price as a Bremont bracelet I bought a Christopher Ward...
I saw this point questioned on another forum and now I can't stop thinking about it.... how do you know if it's the first half or second half of the minute?!
I mean it actually would not make any...
Thanks Jake but don't go to any trouble. I'm just curious how it would keep time when, if like my car it would spend alot of time stationary.
I do like them though, it's a very stylish touch.
^^^ Thanks Jake, thems the ones! Didn't they present one to the Duke of Edinburgh as well?
Out of curiosity, what movement do they have d'you know?
Great observations about the wall clock.
My car is mostly driven an hour, then sits for 8 hours doing nothing before being driven an hour back, to sit doing nothing again and I'm not sure that...
^^^ Yes, it's clearly not meant for me.
I hope it's not made cheaply in China and with a massive margin when sold by Bremont.
It does say painstakingly tooled in the marketing blurb so maybe...
It's a quartz movement!!!!! Wrong, just wrong!
^^ Looks great. I'd written when you first got your 'C that that I thought there aren't many original ones around. Here's maybe one of the few remaining at TF Bakers at Birmingham New Street. Spotted...
I talked over on another thread about the Boeing link having finished and what happens if the relationship turns sour or the project is a failure.
It's amazing engineering but the opposite of...
And the Bremont/Norton watch is well regarded but Norton are in trouble (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-53152943) and lots of negative press about them this year and then it...
^^^ And that's what I struggle with.
For the price of the Bremont bracelet brand new alone, one can buy a good auto watch on a good bracelet for the same money. I know Christopher Ward do...
^^^ it's sold already - £300. I was too late and too cheap! It's a good buy for the new owner.
Thanks - I'll keep an eye on this.
Looks great Jake! Where did you buy it from, it's more and more difficult to find the 'classic' ALT1-Cs I think now. I prefer the originals to the newer 'C styles.
I have 2 Toshi straps, they are indeed very good!
Sorry, yes, bracelets on ebay. Yours looks great.
If anyone has one they don't want for an ALT1 -C I'd be keen to hear....
This is very timely as I'm thinking of buying a bracelet for my ALT1-C but hadn't thought of the difference between case and links. It's a lot of money and I'm not sure how much it would bug me.
