View Full Version : Ordering the SE301 + Launch Day Giveaway

The much anticipated day has finally arrived, and we are now ready to accept orders for the SE301! :o
There will only be 30 watches produced, and Jake and I have already reserved ours, leaving 28 at the time of this post.
The cost of the watch with a secondary NATO strap is £2995/$4095. Bremont Special Projects will collect £750/$955 at time of order placement. The remaining balance will be due once the watches are built and ready to be delivered. Bremont have kindly agreed to donate a generous portion of the proceeds to a charity of our choosing, so we look forward to announcing more on that soon! In the meantime, know that the donation will represent a collective effort from the Alt1tude community to a deserving charity selected by the membership.
To begin the ordering process, either email specialprojects@bremont.com or call +44 845 0940 690 . If sending an email, I'd suggest using the subject line "SE301". You will then receive and complete an order form, where you can review the terms of sale, select your secondary NATO strap (choices in flyers below), request a serial number, as well as your personal engraving.
If you’d like to substitute or add a strap, upgrade to a bracelet, or upgrade the included pin buckle to a deployant buckle, this can be arranged with the Bremont Special Projects team.
In terms of serial numbers, you may want to submit a few preferred options and we will do our very best to accommodate your requests. Please bear with us as we allocate the 30 available serials in a fair manner.
The watches are expected to be ready for delivery in 32-36 weeks from project launch, so approximately August 2019. We will keep the forum updated throughout the process of the components and watches being built!
To help celebrate the fruition of this project, we are happy to announce a Launch Day Giveaway!
I have a prize package that includes:
-1 pair of Bremont Cufflinks
-1 Bremont Keychain
-1 Bremont iPhone X/XS case
-1 Bremont hat
Anyone who orders an SE301 in the first 24 hours will be entered to win. From that list, a randomizer list will be created to select the winner!
Sound good? GREAT!:)
I'd personally like to thank you all for your patience and assistance in making this project a reality! I'd also like to thank Catherine from the Bremont Special Projects department, who has tirelessly worked to help us get this project going. We had a few roadblocks along the way, but with Catherines help, we were able to produce a watch that we felt like YOU, the Alt1tude community, would truly appreciate! We hope to see all 30 of these watches claimed by Alt1tude members! If you do order one, please comment in this thread and let us know which strap you chose!
Many thanks!
Jeremy

I’ve asked for the grey NATO as I already have a stone one!
Thanks guys, I didn’t think I’d want one of these, but clearly you’ve done such a good job, I didn’t want to miss out!

Hi,
Another long time lurker (was it really 3 years ago I joined) - this was all out of the blue and new watch purchases are few and far between.
But I have always admired the s301 so this was a no brainer.
Stone coloured nato - requested either 7 or 25 for the serial.
Cheers

We also feel it is quite a special Bremont! I don’t suspect you’ll see another quite like it! Thanks for joining the project and posting!
Completed!
this will pair with one of the rarest bremonts….a Selfridges Yellow MBII (which was only 1 of 10)!
Hopefully still made the drawing.
Ordered, deposit paid, exciting. Yet another one to add to the collection. Well done team.

Yes Todd, you did! As some orders were still coming in, we’re going to stop the prize drawing after end of business today and draw the winner!

Entries for the competition have now closed, but we are waiting on 4 ‘pending’ orders (received in the first 24hrs) and want a final call from those before choosing a winner.

***UPDATE***
Guys, thanks so much for all your interest and support since we launched 2 days ago! So far, we feel like the project has been quite successful! 19 out of 30 watches have been ordered, leaving 11 remaining watches at the time of this post. We’ve been able to match most people with their first choice in serial number, and continue to work towards making sure everyone is happy with their serial.
This evening I took the 19 names of members who have ordered an SE301, removed Jake and myself, and listed the names on a list randomizer. I’m pleased to report that the winner of our Launch Day Giveaway package was Ted Plyler (av8r51), who is adding the SE301 to his existing Bremont collection, including an original SE! Congrats Ted!
Given the start of the weekend, we won’t hear any more updates on orders from HQ, but at this point we have enough traction for Bremont to go ahead and start the project, which is great news!
Hope everyone has a great weekend, and we will keep you posted on our progress!

That’s great news. Thanks again for the hard work in getting this up and running. Having visited HQ yesterday I can see how busy they are on various projects so it must have been challenging to make this happen. Top job. My wife is now suggesting she might wear my new SE when it comes - paves the way for more ‘negotiations’ me thinks ;) Have a great weekend all!

WOW! I’m overwhelmed. First I’d like to express my thanks to Jeremy and team for an outstanding job in the development of Alt1tude SE301. I can’t imagine the hours spent in evolution of this project. In 2007 I saw small paragraph in WatchTime that mentioned that there was a new British watch company that was producing timepieces with an aviation theme. The name was Bremont and would only be sold through Kenjo, a dealer in New York. Having an aviation background, I immediately called and purchased what I think was the first Bremont sold in the US, an Alt1C Creme #20. It’s rather simple why I’ve remained a loyal Bremont customer. There are plenty of timepieces that one can purchase that will provide the exact same functions as Bremont timepieces and a lower price. With Bremont, you are not only are purchasing a fine timepiece, but you become part of a an interesting narrative from the crash landing encounter in France to having a piece of the Wright Flyer on your wrist. Value added. Sell the sizzle not the steak. I get it. But what is the most important aspect of my journey with Bremont is that I know if I send Nick or Giles an email
I know that they will reply regardless of the content . I know there are some micro brands that might respond as well but I challenge you to show me another brand that has achieved the international presence of Bremont that the founders will still remain available to their customers. I would be remiss in not mentioning that the same applies to the numerous members of the Bremont team I have encountered over the years.
Regarding this forum and its members, it’s an outstanding collection of Bremont enthusiasts with a universe of talents. Never hesitate to take advantage of their knowledge and expertise in matters completely unrelated to watches and as recently as this week, did just that—thanks Jeremy.
Again , I am honored to have won the raffle. Maybe my luck with continue with the lottery, ha!
I hope everyone , regardless of faith and persuasion, has a safe and meaningful holiday.

You’re very welcome, Ted! Great story as to how you came to know the brand so soon after Bremont first launched!
You are quite right about the forum and it’s members- a special group of people that have a lot more in common than just their appreciation for Bremont! There are some wonderfully talented folks who frequent the forum and are eager to lend a hand when able.
Congrats again! Will get the package sent out soon!

Hi rmehta, welcome to the forum!
Felix is a long time Bremont - and Alt1tude - mascot, and can be seen on the side of the ‘Bremont Bus’ - the 1950’s Max-Holste Brousssard aeroplane owned by Nick and Giles.
The emblem and mascot is known as ‘Felix the Cat’, and historically was painted as a cat running with a large spherical black bomb with a lit fuse. The cat itself can be seen on several World War Two aeroplanes, and is also associated with a few famous aviators, such as Lindbergh.
Hope this helps!

I just now joined this forum. This was the result of viewing an S301 today, and starting to learn about Bremont watches. As I was browsing this forum, I was amazed to see this Limited Edition SE301. Funny thing is, at Roldorf & Co. here in Vancouver today, I commented that I don't think I have ever seen a Bremont watch without date function! Then I see this beautiful LE piece. Having just joined the forum, I don't know if I am even qualified to order one or if they are still available.
Cheers,

Hey Carl,
Welcome to Alt1tude and great to have you here! I hear Vancouver is gorgeous and my wife has been begging me to take her someday! Roldorf seems to be a very cool AD. Love the Roldorf Seaforth, and nearly ordered one!
Am happy that you like our SE301. As there are still a few available, I’d reccomend emailing the special projects crew if you are considering one. They’ll tell you which serials are left and go over the deposit policy, etc. There is no requirement on length of membership here in order to purchase one.
Again, welcome aboard, and don’t be a stranger!

Hey Carl,
Welcome to Alt1tude and great to have you here!
Thank you for your warm welcome. I did go ahead last night and contacted the Special Projects. I got an email this morning confirming that there are still a few available.
The SE is very tempting indeed. But before I continued the ordering process, I wanted to go down to my AD and take another look at the S301 on which it is based, and see which of the two I liked better. The guys at Roldorf were really surprised when I showed them the SE301 on this forum, and they loved it. And it has some amazing and unique elements, not the least of which to me is the fact that it has no date, and that never seems to be mentioned. Anyway, since watches are very emotional to me, my heart is with the S301. And also, as I am new to both Bremont and the forum, and I could not decide between the two, I decided that I would go with the S301. That way, as well, I am really supporting my local AD. And they are a great couple of guys. If I thought that I would have any regrets at all about not choosing the S301, I would have gone ahead with the order process for the SE.
Howie at the AD was wearing his Roldorf Seaforth. I was very impressed. The first Seaforth I have seen in real life. A local company, and Jason who owns it is a great guy as well. Unfortunately, I was too late for the Roldorf Seaforth as well, as I usually am for all the Seaforth editions, at least so far!
Should be easy enough for you to get to Vancouver now. I believe Delta is going to have nonstop service year round now from Atlanta, and not just for the cruise ship season. I actually worked for Delta Airlines from 1975 - 1997 here in Vancouver. Unfortunately, they pulled out of Vancouver in 1997, but it appears they are now coming back. They were, and still are, a great company.
So, that's my story for now. Really looking forward to participating in this forum. A wrist shot of my S301:

Looks like it was made to go with my old bomber jacket!
Cheers,
Carl

Awesome pick up Carl. Welcome to the Bremont family. Although I am not an active memeber here (in terms of posting) I do read almost every post and go to a few Bremont events locally :) I have quite a few Bremont and to support this forum I also ordered the SE301 on launch date even when I already have the S301. The folks at my local Bremont boutique know how much I like watches with no date that I simply cannot resist the no date dial and the blued steel hands on the SE301. Maybe you will do the same soon :)

Are their still some of the se301 available, before I order I will try to find a stockist and try on a standard 300 or 301, just to check out the size on my wrist, before I do this I wanted to check on availability.

Sounds like a good idea to try one on to get a taste for the size, fit and finish Herbie. Where do you live? Do you have a local Bremont AD?

Milton Keynes, Oxford and Stratford upon Avon not far away, I know MK has a stockist, but going to Oxford next weekend, so I will try to find the stockist there.

It's an easy trip by train from Milton Keynes into London, you could visit one of the boutiques down there?

Yes indeed - that was an email that brightened up my Monday morning. As a Jeremy says, once we get pictures, you’ll be the first to see them!
Is anybody else excited? Orders are still ticking along nicely, but a few watches still remain.

Members with SE301 orders should expect to be contacted about finalizing details for orders. HQ is saying the watches will soon be built and they’re expected to ship mid June! Exciting! Anyone else planning to jump on board? We’ve had a few folks drop out, so there are still watches available.

I’m super excited! We will share teaser shots as and when we can.
Are those who are getting them excited to finally get their watch?

Great to see the enthusiasm Guys - I’ve been in touch with HQ over the last few days: watch this space in the next week or two.
J.
PS - I’m probably picking mine up from HQ. If we can get the dates to work, who fancies joining me?

Could be very tempted. I'd been planning on collecting mine from the London Royal Exchange boutique, partly for convenience but also as I really like the staff but I have been meaning to get to the HQ at some point.
Either way I'm very much looking forward to seeing it.

Gangs,
I reside oversea so I won’t be able to pick up from HQ nor at any one of the London boutiques.
However the recent launch of the D Type with each leather case signed by Ian Callum has inspired to think wouldn’t it be lovely if Nick and Giles can do the same for our S301 SE. I think it will make our S301 SE a truly special one.
Is this a too great of ask? Think this is possible?
Cheers!

I certainly wouldn’t think it is out of the question - nearer the time I’ll take it up with HQ for you and see what is said.

Ok Guys!
It’s been 6 months since we launched the SE301 concept images and started taking pre-orders. Thank you so much to everyone who has been supportive of the project and who have stuck with us while we wait.
Jake and I are happy to report that the Special Projects team at Bremont have just finished the sample watch to review for quality control.
So far, everything looks great and we will have our hands on it in the coming days to see in person. For now, here are a few teaser images of the sample watch to wet your appetite until all 30 watches are built and shipped in June.
Please be sure to let us know what you think!

I've had the same thought. I wasn't sure about the bracelet and really liked the idea of a Nato but now I've seen the picture of the bracelet above I'm quite taken. Either way the watch itself looks a stunner!

Hi Jake and Gangs,
Saw another thread folks are organizing a visit to the workshop to pick up our SE which is nice.
As said before I reside overseas so won’t be able to join. Please take some pics and if possible some short clips would be lovely to share with forum members.
Guess the purpose of my message if I may is to follow up if there is a chance for Nick and Giles to sign our leather case for keep sake?
Anyhow it is great our SE is coming to reality and we will get our hands on it very soon.
Cheers!

Very, very, close. Currently just a few watches unspoken for in some regard!

Hi everyone,
New member of this wonderful community. Was recommended to join by a friend of mine in the Bay Area and was wondering if this edition of the S301 is still available for purchase?
Best,
