Hey everyone,


So, I've been approached by one or two forum members expressing interest in another forum SE.


I'm happy to run with it, pending interest. Therefore, I've added a poll above to gauge interest - if you could fill that out, I'd be grateful.


Aside from that, if you are interested (or even if you're not!) - please leave a post below with what you may like to see. I'll try and arrange for a render of each idea to be done.

Couple of ideas.....

Would it be possible to have a Sunburst black dial and Matt subdials just to make the dial a bit more unique for the watch or would we have to stick with a standard dial colour?
I owned the Dragon Lady and one thing I loved about that was the fact that the Bremont logo is below the handset which is quite unusual. Could you maybe try Bremont logo and Alt1tude below the handset and the Felix logo taken out of the sub dial and put above the handset.
I don’t know that I like the Felix logo in the sub dial, as to position him in there so that the second hand sits in a suitable place in the logo, he then doesn’t sit centrally in the subdial.
And maybe have the seconds hand in that subdial yellow? A colour from the website and follows on from the original version with the yellow seconds hand.

Yes, do! Felix is a must - and I would quite like the ‘ALT1TUDE’ text if it suits. There also seems to be a preference for a yellow element, too.

Maybe base it on the Bremont U-2 51 Jet with an orange barrel with the Felix and Alt1tude logo displayed on the face, the rotar could also be orange ��

When I bought my Alt1tude LE I had the intention of adding an Alt1-C in cream at a later date, that never happened and my interest in watches morphed into one of visiting battlefields in far off places, the Italian campaign in WW2 this year, Vietnam next and Stalingrad in 2020.
As for the present initiative I think it is well worth following up on Sunday if you get the chance Jake. Time will tell if there is sufficient interest in the project but its good that people at at least thinking about it. I agree that Felix and the Alt1tude logo should be central to the design but where I disagree with Baggie68 is that the watch should be sufficiently different from the U2/MB range that was the inspiration previously. Cost will clearly be a factor but I too will be interested to see what ideas others come up with.

Maybe keep it simple and do a DLC Solo?

Here are my ideas, an S500, a Solo, A Solo gmt (we can dream) and an alt 1c. I've gone batons on all as I think this could be the signature style for all future ALT1TUDE watches ( also I tried numbers and when put with the felix logo it starts to look a little "Micky Mouse".

If I had to pick one I would say lets do a solo. The solo is among Bremonts purest watches, its nice and clean, easy to read and its among there most affordable watches. If we produce a watch that most members can chalk up to a "fun" purchase then I think it its more likely to be enjoyed by more of us. I also think the casual and clean solo suits the felix logo better than the others. We can really have some fun with this one and not feel to guilty about the purchase. PLUS theres hardly any unique solos out there! A DLC solo would be king!

The S500 is pretty darn cool and good be made in titanium which I know everyone could get behind! A nice ceramic bezel like the latest s500 would go nice with a drak grey/black sunburst dial and signature yellow second hand.


Anyway those are my thoughts. let me know what you think and if anyone has any ideas I can render something up.

I have to say - excellent work from Ryan!!

They all look good, personally I'm not a fan of DLC watches, but I know a lot are, so, like the previous one, the final design could be offered in both SS and DLC finishes.

In all the renders, would we prefer the Alt1tude logo to be white or yellow?

The S500 - maybe have an all red seconds hand (like on the Oracle 2), or an all white seconds hand (like on the Solo) and leave the yellow for just the GMT hand and the hours numerals on the inner chapter ring. I only suggest this to keep the functions colour coded.

The Solo, if we can get away with a GMT version, that would be awesome, but again, keep the GMT hand and hours yellow and change the seconds hand to all red or to all white.
Keep the date wheel black with white numerals, I don't think we need toooo much yellow.
And I think on the Solo designs, it does look more balanced with the Felix logo @ 6 rather than @ 12. I think @ 12 the dial looks too top heavy with the Felix and the 12 marker triangle.

With the C, I don't know why, but I don't think the yellow on there works quite so well and overall cheapens it a bit??! So maybe keep the yellow to a minimum on there and just put in on the seconds hand in the 9 o'clock subdial.

Some very skilled photoshop users on this forum. Interesting that we all seem to have different ideas about which looks the best though. My personal favourite is Ryans 'C' with the small yellow hands with either the steel or DLC finish. I do also like awildermode's rendering of the S500 just above.

I think the "waterman" hands look better than the oracle hands but having a think about it Id rather drop the GMT function and have a yellow second hand. I'm also a sucker for a ceramic bezel over sapphire. I'm also thinking price. If this thing comes out at waterman prices your looking at £1000 more than the S500 and I just don't think a gmt function is worth that.

What other models do you think would work well?

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for the delay updating you all on this, but as I am sure you can appreciate it's a bit tricky and needs a fair amount of input from Bremont HQ.

Anyway, myself and Jeremy had an in-depth conference call with HQ yesterday and have ironed out some issues and sticking points, so it is time to try and move forward.

In a poll above, I have listed the three models that are being considered - and it will be these three models only.


The cost of each of the above is the RRP which are as follows:


Solo: £2895/$3995
U2: £3695/$4995
S301: £2995/$4095


If you wish to have a DLC case, on either the Solo or U2, please add £155 (approx $200) to the above pricing.

Once the poll has ran for 7 days, the watch that comes out on top will be the one we go ahead with. At this point, we will reveal teasers of the design based on input from the previous thread, as both we and Bremont feel that this is the best way to do it.

Right, hello everyone!

Sorry for not being in communication too much whilst the poll has being run. The results are in - these are cumulative across all the Alt1tude Social Media channels:

1. S301: 46
2. U-2: 16
3. Solo: 10


As was anticipated from the early lead that it gained on the poll, the Alt1tude Forum SE V2 will be based on the S301!


So, now we know that it'll be the S301, I'm sure that you're all wondering where do we go from here?

Over the past few weeks, Jeremy and I have been working on some designs that we think are going to capture the wide attention of those who voted and ultimately lead to a very successful and desirable end product.

Following some discussions with HQ on what is (and isn't!) viable, we have come up with a design that we think most will like. It is currently being checked by the team at Bremont to confirm and tweak the design details.

What we can tell you is this: unfortunately we have learnt that DLC is not an option on the S301, so moving forward the designs will be offered with steel cases only. For now, that's all we can say!

Nothing for now, no. We're still waiting back to hear on details from HQ, and some final word from designers etc.. on whether or not things are possible.

As I'm sure you can appreciate, these things are quite complex and take some time. As soon as we know what is what, I will let everybody know. Thanks for your continued patience and support, everyone!

There a simple answer to this post, and no-one has it right. It has to be a modified S301 with a GMT complication and 0/24 lumed bezel markers!

How this watch hasn’t happened yet, I can’t fathom!! The world is going mad for the Tudor Pepsi (which is too thick and top heavy). The market has been crying out for a decent 40mm thin case GMT for about 6 years; an S301 gmt would be perfect! It has everything: retro, class, a great bezel/dial proportion, a cracking matt dial and bezel. It’s perfect!

Why is no-one addressing the elephant in the room?!?

Hi Everyone,

So, the promised update.

First of all, thank you all for your support and constant ideas throughout the initial brainstorming process - it was greatly appreciated.

Following some protracted and in depth discussions with HQ, we have simply been unable to come to an agreement on a final design that myself and Jeremy think is deserving of the Alt1tude label, and a worthy follow up to the original SE.

The main factor behind this was/is the use of the S301 as a 'base' watch: it simply isn't as customisable as the others (Solo/U2), but it was what we had to work with as it came out top in the poll(s) across Social Media.

Based upon the above, we have decided that the best thing to do is to halt the project for the time being. Now, this doesn't mean that there won't be a V2, but having put a lot of work in behind the scenes, we have simply been unable to agree on a final design based upon the S301.

Sorry about this, I know a number of you were looking forward to it.

Without getting into too many specifics, hands would have to stay stock on the s301. Dial modifications definitely possible, but steel option only. Not possible to tweak much on this particular model at this particular time. The challenge becomes creating a design that will sell 50 units when the stock s301 is quite popular as is.

Personally speaking, I would have taken any of the three options but was quite keen on the S301 as I don't have that model. However, if that option was removed then I would still be interested in the other two options. May be lots of other forum members would be the same?

Evening everyone, another quick update for you.

So, we’ve had some more discussions with HQ and have decided on a general design that we like. The design is based on the S301, and is currently being checked by HQ for viability with regards to some small details.

Once that is done, we should have something we can ‘go public’ with and that we hope that you’ll like!
