Hi guys I bought the S500 submarine a few weeks ago and now I want to try a NATO strap with this watch but i am not sure

1:If all the aftermarket straps are compatible
2:How to change the strap
3:Which brands are best for the straps

Kindly let me know all the information/suggestions are welcome...I am interested in both Nylon and leather straps

Thanks in advance

1 - For after market straps, any will work, just make sure it is 22mm

2 - You will need a spring bar tool. One should have came with your S500. Here is quick video I found on how to use it.

3 - Bremont has NATO straps http://shop.bremont.com/collections/watch-straps/nato-straps
- Carl from GasGasBones makes quality NATO straps, he even makes the ones for Bremont http://www.gasgasbones.com/ggb-goodies.html
- There are many others that make great straps, just remember to look for 22mm

The spring bar tool that came with the watch looks great, it's a tool that you can use but it's not really all that good. I treat it like a Bremont branded collectible. The one I use this here: http://www.ofrei.com/page252.html, it's the first one listed.

There is an identical one that is Bergeon branded for about $10 more if you want the brand and yellow box.

This tool is absolutely awesome with quality blades that are fine enough to catch spring bar shoulders with ease without exerting excessive force leaving deeper tool marks. If you want to take it a step further you can get the Bergeon 6825 that will allow you to depress both sides at the same time allowing bracelet removal and installation. I have tried this on straps too and I have found you can position the spring bars perfectly before releasing it.

For those who are OCD like me, this prevents scratches caused by "adjusting for the click" as the spring bar engaged the lug holes.
