As promised, I'm pleased to announce a special forum competition to christen our new Bremont Military Projects forum.

For our current and former military members, please post a photograph on this thread of your Bremont military watch and then tell us a bit about it. That's all!

Every qualified entry will receive a special Bremont patch from the Bremont Military Team!

http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160531/ad03eb5b6250c0ab46cedffdfe1dd187.jpg

After the competition has closed, I will look through all the entries and select the best ones. Those lucky ones will get an extra special prize!

This Alt1tude forum competition will run from Tuesday, May 31 - Tuesday, June 28th!

Please note that the picture must be posted here on the forum, not through Instagram, Twitter, or any of the other Alt1tude channels.

Contest is limited to current and former military members, but fret not! We will have another forum-wide competition very soon!

Qualified entries will receive a PM from me, and I'll need to get your address to send the patch and prizes to.

Thanks, and let's see those watches!

Jeremy

Happy to try and kick this thread off! A "post to get a patch" seems like a fair trade!

Meet one of the Royal Naval Medical Service Alt1-C's, 002 to be precise. The photo is taken on operations in North Africa....sadly in this case shopping operations with my wife in Marrakech! The RNMS wanted a watch that could be worn anywhere in the world, in any conditions. It needed to be understated, resilient and adaptable. The Alt1-C appears to performing brilliantly so far. I love the way that no one notices the serpent and the anchor on the dial most of the time but I know it's there! The sun illuminates it nicely here though. We swapped out the rotor in the back too to make it black and red - Medical Service colours - again, normally known only to the owners.

With less than 40 made, they are a rare breed but happy to have introduced you to them!

Post for a patch seems like a good deal, especially if I can get hold of 4, one for each of my brothers!

This is the Apache AH64 Bremont from last year. An absolute master piece and I'm proud to wear it every day, regardless of what I'm doing. It's not only the perfect timepiece to wear in the cockpit, but what's great about it, it only attracts attention from those who are really into aviation AND watches, perfect.

Mantis, this is awesome! I had known of these but have never seen one. Are the serpent and anchor "embossed" on the dial? It looks very sharp and easily able to dress up or dress down! Thanks so much for sharing with us here.

Snelly, thanks for sharing your Apache with us! Another rare beauty that we don't often get to see! Looks great on the DLC bracelet too!

It's so great for our Alt1tude membership to get to see and appreciate these awesome examples of the military projects that have been made!

Thanks for kicking this competition off Jeremy.

Great to see the Military variants and to hear the stories behind them - and good luck to the wearers! :D

Now does having been in the Scouts count...........?

That's a brilliant picture - are you AAC?
And yes, agreed on the attention the watches get, the same can be said for most (if not all) of the watches Bremont make - especially the MBII!

Great to see the military versions! As I said before, if I could get the ex-reconnaissance guys to part with some of their retirement funds, we could make a terrific RF-4/RF-101/RF-8 etc. version.

Here's a picture of my new arrival with the old hat I used to wear.

I am yup. This is the second watch that Bremont have done for the Apache force, they're such good pieces. MBII is a really beauty too, the U2 Blue is still my favourite though!

Hi All,

Below are a couple of photos of three of the four Bremont Military Limited Edition watches that I own.

Shown are the ALT1-Z in stainless with the RAN (Royal Australian Navy) Pilots wings and the roundel with the kangaroo in the centre, a marking that appears on all Australian military aircraft. The watch is also available with the DLC case.

Also shown are two RAN Pilots MBII watches, one in stainless and the other in DLC. They have the same wings and roundel as mentioned above.

Feel free to shout out if you'd like to know more.

Cheers,

Mark

Here's a picture of my new arrival with the old hat I used to wear.

Here's a good story on the first time I almost got into the MB1 club. My first qual check ride in Germany we went out, did the mission (film reconnaissance of targets at low level) and returned to base. Downwind in the pattern, only the right main gear came down. Go to the checklist. Instructions--climb to a safe altitude and eject. Tried a few things. Nothing. Finally did a bounce and go and the nose and left main came down and locked.
Biggest concern for the ejection was that without film confirmation that I got the targets, I'd have to take the check ride again.
That was the first almost.

This was my first trip in the C-5 after receiving my watch. This photo was taken during leg 2 just prior to beginning our descent in to Hickam Hawaii (the land seen on the EGPWS displayed on the MFD). Subsequent legs had us flying to Yokota AB Japan, Kadena AB Okinawa, Guam, back to Hawaii, and on back home. I love the watch and am toying with trying out the stainless band I have.3490

Love it on the bracelet! Can you do a wristshot, just to get the full look? We don't see many MBII's on the bracelet, let alone MBI.

I still remember getting to handle one at Martin-Baker - a real privilege for a self-confessed Bremont nerd like me!

Slight delay in posting since I wanted to get better backgrounds. :) Its a little dark with the jets in the background but that is the Pacific Northwest in the morning. I just realized when I was posting these that the date is off by a day.....

For what its worth I have found that people either really like it on the bracelet or they don't, there hasn't been many in the middle. I just NEED to get myself a different one so I can have one non bracelet Bremont.

1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards Special Edition Bremont watch. 59 were made as the Regiment (an amalgam of 1st The Kings Dragoon Guards and 2nd Dragoon Guards (the Queen's Bays)) was established in 1959.

Based on a U-22 with a number if spoke elements, 2 of which are shown in the front of the watch face. The Regimental colour is blue as depicted in the blue barrel. The unit, the senior cavalry regiment of the line, now a Light Cavalry Reconnaissance unit based in Norfolk, England.

The 'Recce Tree' at 1200 is coated in supernova illum and the 1 has shadow 'st' behind for the 1st The bit....

The back is super special....
