We had a rare visitor which diverted en route to Duxford due to poor weather. According to the pilot it handles very well with it's brute of a 1400 hp engine.

The King taken at dusk earlier tonight, it's BLR winglets are not as half sexy as the ones on the Captains new 737!

Looking good! Me and my Solo got up to this yesterday...

Love the Solo very much indeed! Yesterday I was in Cheltenham and from force of habit started window shopping at Martins our local AD. When you see a shed load of watches on display together some inevitably catch the eye more than others. Yes it was nice to see the the ALT1-C in rose gold and the various Codebrakers but excluding the ALT1-C cream which is my favourite it was the Solo that stood out and the S500. The DLC ALT1-B (which I like very much when seen on its own) faded into obscurity what with it's black bracelet while the U2 blue and green ALT1-C didn't exactly shine either. I really do not think the Bremont display case does these watches justice!! When you saw the Rolex watches nicely spaced out on their own shelf then saw the Bell and Ross and Ebel I think it was sharing a shelf with Bremont one realises how far the brand still has to go!!

As for your glass cockpit they appear to be all the rage these days, even saw one fitted in an ultralight for goodness sake! Bring back the Reid and Sigrist turn and slip indicator I say!

Yep - this particular one is a 744. (Just a sim though!)

I agree, Gavin. A lot of emphasis in the instruments section of the commercial ground school course is based around EFIS/ECAM/FMC systems, and not enough is placed on the 'steam' equipment etc.. in my opinion. Not really the way it should be (maybe) but it's a reflection of the modern flying world.
