Sorry guys, not Jennifer Lawrence!

This to me is one of the most beautiful light aircraft, The Spartan Executive was produced before the war in small numbers by the Spartan Aircraft Company, it was the epitome of grace, pace and luxury and was aimed at the truly wealthy like Howard Hughes and J. Paul Getty. If Bremont were making watches in the 30's and 40's the people who owned them would also aspire to these lovely machines, I know I would!

Lovely.
Reminds me of Airstream trailers, iconic designs, both.

Curiously Spartan went into the trailer business after they pulled out of aircraft manufacture - like the planes they were very expensive but exquisitely finished!

Look forward to meeting you, and seeing the watches, tomorrow evening!

I know shiny exteriors on many aircraft are not popular with enthusiasts but certainly in this example I think it looks great.

Isn't it funny how an iconic plane like the Spartan never looks dated.

This is another that floats my boat - the P38 Lightning. I took these at Bremonts' Flying Legends show at Duxford on 13th July. Wonderful day.

I would recommend it Gavin. Great day out and great hospitality with Bremont.

Isn't that a B25 Mitchell though?!

Urufu, I do not think David's aircraft recognition is as good as his knowledge of fine time pieces!! As for you, an A+

But to be fair to David, both of the Red Bull's have the same polished exterior and livery :)

Hands up! I am happy to stand corrected by far better qualified spotters than me. :o

In somewhat lame defence:

1. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z304/alabata/119-1.jpg (http://s192.photobucket.com/user/alabata/media/119-1.jpg.html)
Saw the Lightning at Duxford in 2012. My photo in evidence.

2. In the brochure for this years' show it was listed as the P38 Lightning/Red Bull. But I should have remembered the difference.

Is anyone planning to see the 2 Lancasters in flight anywhere over the next few weeks? Toss up whether to go to Windermere or Holmfirth on the 7th September. Please give us good weather!!!
