SL - What does your role at Bremont entail?

NK - My role is predominantly to manage all communication and to ensure the right messages are being delivered at the right times. As such new product launches are always a focus for me and securing press around them.

SL - How long have you been involved with the company?

NK - I first worked with Bremont when the company launched in 2007 so I was there for the launch event itself. Since then I looked after the PR agency side with about a year and a half break where I moved agency and due to a conflict in client base I was unable to bring Bremont with me. I then moved in-house at the end of 2013.

SL - What made you decide to leave your job with a successful agency ( Massey ) and come to work for Bremont?

NK - It was actually a very difficult decision as I hugely respect my old boss but I had really missed representing Bremont and had missed working with Nick and Giles. I didnít want to run my own agency and was keen to experience what it was like representing a brand in-house. For me I would only have moved for the right brand and I felt Bremont was it. Having helped build something from inception is very special so to be able to continue on this journey is very exciting. There is still so much more to do and to further help grow and develop the business was too good an opportunity to miss.

SL - What is it about Bremont that you feel has given it so much success recently?

NK - It is certainly a huge advantage having such charming and personable founders who are still around and very much involved in the business. I think being a British company has always been a big selling point for us and the partnerships Bremont has have added real kudos to the brand. Our military business for example has grown significantly further to our work with Martin-Baker. The partnerships we have tend to have much more depth than simply being a marketing exercise so to be able to work with the likes of Boeing is game-changing.

SL - And what would you say from a PR perspective, makes Bremont an exciting brand to represent?

NK - Itís exciting in terms of the growth of the brand and going into new territories and having to master that, but whatís most exciting is having significant partnerships and products that are unlike anything else out there and have fantastic stories behind them.

SL - Which Bremont do you wear

NK - The ALT1-C Cream but on a black leather strap as it works better with my wardrobe.

SL - That is 'so you' Nat...!

SL - Which is your favourite Bremont watch and why?

NK - I am rather attached to my ALT1-C to be honest as itís been with me a while, I also like it with the anthracite dial. I think the ALT1-B is very cool.

SL - What is the best part about your job?

NK- It has to be working for a brand I really believe in, it makes a huge difference.

SL - What would you say is the hardest part about your job?

NK - At the moment it would have to be building the brand in new markets.

SL - What would be your ideal job if you weren't working at Bremont?

NK - TV Presenter. Iíd happily be Dermot OíLearyís sidekick. ( SL - For those not in the know, Dermot O'Leary is a popular English TV presenter on shows like the 'X Factor' )

SL - Are there any other watch brands you admire and why?

I really admire Hermes watches. I love their whole approach to watchmaking and their playfulness with time which is totally unique. The ĎLe Temps Suspenduí model exemplifies this well. They are innovative and pure luxury through and through. ( SL - The temps suspendu watch literally 'suspends time' whereby the wearer is able to press a pusher and the hands jump to the upright 'v' position and literally stop... the watch keeps recording time accurately, but the dial doesn't display it. As soon as you press the pusher again, the watch returns to normal. )

SL - What are you most excited about for Bremont in 2014?

NK - Basel this year was very exciting for us with it being the first time we had an official stand but we also have an amazing Limited Edition launch coming up which youíll have to watch this space forÖ Other than that there is some Hollywood news which is something quite different for us but Iím equally looking forward to as well as our NYC boutique opening which will hopefully take place towards the end of the year.

SL - Tell us a bit about yourself - what is it that makes you 'tick' ( excuse the pun! )

NK - I love pottery/sculpture which is something Iíve sort of lost touch with but am planning on getting back into. Travelling to new places (preferably abroad) and languages.

SL - And for a bit of trivia, what is your favourite food?

NK - Changeable really. I go through phases. Favourite drink would have to be a Chai Latte from Starbucks!

SL - And your favourite book?

Nothing too cerebral, I did enough of that at university. I never find enough time to read though these days. I need to work on this.

SL- And finally your favourite Film....

Two Men and a Little Lady will always be up there.

Thanks so much Natalie,

Thanks for doing this Serena and Natalie!

I find the the part about "Hollywood news" very interesting! What do you guys think that's about?

Also looking forward to seeing this years' LE watch!

Finally I get the answer to, is there a LE coming or is Tera Nova the LE. :) For the first time in a long time I have quite a bit of extra $. Maybe this time I get to play with a Bremont LE.... ;)

Now it is also interesting to learn there is a NYC Boutique opening up in NYC. I knew they were opening offices in NYC, but I didn't know about the Boutique. That's cool.

Good interview, thanks for sharing.

This is fantastic!
It is significant that Natalie would leave a steady, respected, long term job in these crazy times to come "home" to Bremont - that is a powerful statement and a bold move that speaks to the direction Bremont is heading.

Also of note, I guess I knew it but didn't realize it till Natalie stated it - that Bremont's partnerships are much more than superficial, they truely are real, they are tangible, they are passions, they are sybiotic and not just slapping a logo on a dial. It builds credibility to their position in the market.

And yes, I believe a road trip for a few North America "Evangelists" is being talked about to the Boutique when opened.
