I am quite sure of what 2, 3, and 4 stand for, but absolutely no clue of the "BBM1"? :confused:

We've discussed "BSTN" quite a bit here...

BBM1---> Bremont Movement 1 ?
BBM247---> Bremont Movement 24/7 ?
BSTN---> Bremont Solo titanium (but that should read Ti not Tn so probably not it) :)
BMBIII---> MB3

BBM1 - something in a Bronze case maybe?? Something quite a few of us have been keen to see.....

This is intriguing, I do love Bremont's marketing. I wonder whether this includes the LE or not? Like others, I'm pretty sure on 2, 3 and 4 and find 2 a pretty interesting idea. Although thinking about it I can also have a fairly safe stab at 1 too:D

Stab away my friend..... :D Be good to know your thoughts

Well I think it is based on the same system as 2, although admittedly for number 2 I'm not entirely sure whether the numbering indicates a gmt or, as I suspect, stands for something else instead.:D

You don't think 247 could refer to Boeing 247?

Welcome, and that's what I had in mind as well! ;)

That's what I had in mind too. And that then leads to this for BBM1 http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_Model_1

Would seem to me like a perfect fit for the first LE after going into partnership?

Now that's certainly a plausible theory! I know nothing about this plane, but the puzzle seems to fit together quite well for a headline LE release?

Loving all the responses to this post guys.... All very exciting. I am taking the final pics of all the new releases this evening and can't wait to share them on Wednesday. Keep those guesses coming ;)

Neither did I, but if Wikipedia is right then it would be fitting to gave the first le in the partnership as the first plane that Boeing built. I'm thinking green MB2 style barrel and then the rotor yellow with red tips as a mirror of the colours from the plane?

Come on Serena, are we close?!

This all sounds very convincing and squashes my idea that the 247 was a new perpetual calendar. :(
The Boeing 247 sounds much more likely.
So....1) L/E Boeing Model 1
2) Boeing 247
3) Titanium
4) MB3 - with GMT function? And yellow dial Giles???????;)

Roll on 10am on wednesday (and 4pm next monday when I see them in the flesh in Basel!:D)

The only think that perhaps goes against the Model 1 being the answer is that the supermarine descent is based on a seaplane. Would they base another watch on one?

Oracle, perhaps it will still be a perpetual calendar with just made with parts of a 247? I guess there's no reason it can't have double meaning!

I guess the perpetual calendar would be a great way to launch an in-house movement.......:rolleyes:
I don't suppose it matters too much that Supermarine and Boeing 1 were both seaplanes - they were literally worlds apart in age, design and performance.
Basel never fails to excite even though I've been going for over 25 years.

That it would be! Why go on for all this simple 3 hand stuff when you can just go straight to a perpetual calendar?!

That's a fair point and I'd tend to agree. I think the fact it's the first Boeing would clinch it. I've still not made it to Basel. Despite dropping regular hints I'm still waiting for my wife to buy me a trip there one birthday. Perhaps I should just pay for it myself!

Thinking about it more, I guess the irony in a Model 1 LE would be that the Boeing partnership is supposed to let Bremont use some of the cutting edge technologies for their watches only for them to use the oldest plane to base the watch on!

Oddly, this sounds exactly like something Bremont would do!

Woody

Very true. Although I guess it could just as easily be Bremont using Boeing model numbers for any collaborations without the watch necessarily having any links to the associated aircraft. With only two apparent Boeing models being released it's a tad difficult to say!

I think Woody is right - Boeing Model 1 seems appropriate.

My guesses in order:

Boeing machine 1
Boeing machine with 24 hr GMT & day-date
Supermarine titanium (rumoured to have been tested by Ben Saunders)
MbIII - another GMT?

Here are most of the Bremont watches that have been released at Basel over the past several years! Tomorrow we will see what Nick and Giles have planned for 2014! Come back at 10:00 am sharp for first glimpses!:cool:
