Hopefully mine will be waiting for me back in UK, when I return for a 3 week RnR break.
How do you like the DLC, as that is what I have ordered, even though my heart and head stainless steel?

I think it is a cracking piece. I didn't have a DLC watch - now I do and I'm glad I went for it in this finish. I initially ordered the SS but with having the MBII already I thought this in DLC would make it quite a different watch. Both finishes I think look fantastic but for me this added the variation to justify getting one!!

That was my reasoning as have a military Alt1c and white Solo. There was space for a black watch since I let a IWC Top Gun go a few years back.
Just wasnt overly sure I had made the right decision. Fingers crossed I'm as pleased as you. Cheers for reply

Here are my two number 1 watches together! :)
I can't believe the watch is here already! Across the ocean to my house in beautiful Quebec city in one day. Bremont must have paid a hefty prime to get my watch here in one day! Thanks to Emma and everyone at Bremont! :D

I like how clean the dial is. In DLC, it looks a bit more dressy and a lot less in your face than my MB2 in yellow. I do feel this is an any day, any event watch. Kinda like the SM2000, but even more so as the rotating bezel on the SM makes it a dive watch thus looks more sporty.

Thats a great looking, unique Pair of Bremonts. Perfectly complementary to each other. If I were you, someday I'd ask Bremont to switch barrels on your 2 watches! How cool would that be? congrats! Glad your wait is over.

Hey just was curious, the diameter of the SE looks bigger then the MB2. Is that the case or is it just a trick of the photo? I thought they were both 43mm.

I believe both watches are the same size. But I also noticed that it looks bigger. It might because of the simpler/cleaner dial without all those numerals that makes the dial and watch appear larger. I actually think it looks awesome. Less clutter on the dial and more watch!

No it's the same 43mm size as the MBII / U2 - it will be the dial design and possibly DLC which makes it look slightly bigger.

Back in UK and couldn't wait to open the FedEx package. My shock when I look at the watch only to Dates in French. What the heck is that about. Looks like Bremont have kept up their typical high quality controls. This will be my third Bremont that will have to have factor remedial work. 100% record. No more for me. Nice looking watch, shame they hadn't made the booklet to the standard of the military SE I have, where pics showed the exact watch etc

Hi mate, I think the MBII's/U2's are like this, the day window scrolls through English/French alternately. Just try scrolling the day round to the English one and it will just rotate through the English days then in normal operation.

This should be correct. Simple fix.

I'm curious to know why it would be English/French alternately.

Wouldn't English/Swiss German make more sense? I don't have a day/date watch so just going on (my own suspect) logic!

Yes was that in regards to date. Still a shame not a limited edition user manual explaining its design and where the charity money went too. But watch looks great.

Jeez.....guess you can't please all of the people all of the time eh?! Who would pay for that LE user manual on a run of only 30 watches? It costs money to produce something like that and that would impact margins, in turn reducing profit, in turn decreasing the amount paid to the charity in question. There was never any mention of such a manual as being part of the package so why are you squawking about something that was never on offer?! I think it looks superb, I know the packaging will be great, the customer service surpasses any other brand, hats off to Piers for making it happen, and I've known since the first time I changed the day/date on a Bremont that it was bilingual!!!

Think you missed my point, I already have one other SE watch, this one I paid in full, even wasnt permitted to get tax free even though I'm on a 2 year government contract abroad in Middle East. There was no AD commissions, no advertising costs required etc, this watch had huge profits and how much of this has gone to charity. Don't make me laugh about how much a small paper booklet would cost, it definitely wouldn't be in the hundreds !!! These little things are what is called attention to detail and makes you feel like you have something special...

Dorset by the sea. I work fairly close to you!!

How come you didn't qualify for tax free!? Mine did and lands in 48 hrs...couldn't you get it sent to your place of work? Re the brochures issue, I have both the U2 IAFDT and the MB2 TWG (blue barrel).... Both were circa 30 produced and neither had bespoke manuals...I genuinely suspect that designing and printing something for such low volumes would indeed add to the cost of the watch. I regularly need stuff designing and printing - prices are tolerable in the ME but often v silly in the UK. I'm sure Piers or the Brothers English would answer your question on the % charity donation too....

You'd have to contact Bremont direct on this, but I know they generally don't publicise the amount they give to charities based on watch sales.
